Roll 21
is similar to Blackjack but is played with two standard
dice.
Play begins with each player making one or more of
the following bets:
Hand Bet
The player is betting that the player hand will beat
the dealer hand. There is a designated dice shooter
each round. Each player in succession takes a turn
rolling a series of two dice to get closer to 21, without
going over (busting), than the house. For example,
if it is Player 3's turn, each of the other players
places their bets and then player 3 rolls two dice
at a time. He must continue to roll two dice until
he reaches 17 or busts. If the player busts, the dealer
will collect all players’ bets, and the next
round begins thereafter.
Once the player has reached a score of 17 or greater,
the dealer must roll one die to determine the dealer’s
score. The dealer’s die has 17, 18, 19, 20, bust
and bust, on each of the six sides, respectively. Whoever
has the higher score wins the hand bet. A winning hand
bet pays even money. However, if the player hand is
21 after 2 rolls, the hand bet is paid 3 to 2 automatically. A tie
is a push.
Side Bets
All the side bets are based on the hand bet and must
be made before the first roll of the dice for the hand
bet. No more bets can be made until the hand bet is
resolved and a new round begins.
(A) 21 Bet
The player is betting that a 21 will be rolled
in two or more rolls. The payoff odds are as
follows:
Number of Rolls Pay (to 1)
2 Rolls Pays 15:1
3 Rolls Pays 3:1
4 Rolls Pays 15:1
5 Rolls Pays 50:1
6 or more rolls pays 500:1
(B) Three sevens in a row
The player is betting that three consecutive 7s will
be rolled. The bet is paid 200 to 1. The bet loses
as soon as a 7 is not rolled.
(C) Bust in two rolls
The player is betting that the player hand will bust
in two rolls. The bet is paid 80 to 1.
(D) Tie
The player is betting that the player hand and the
dealer hand will tie. The bet is paid 9 to 1.
